How to mirror your iPhone to a Windows PC (wired or wireless)
Short answer: install Kagami on your Windows 10 or 11 PC, put the iPhone on the same Wi-Fi (or plug it in with a cable), then open Control Centre → Screen Mirroring → Kagami on the iPhone. Nothing is installed on the phone, and the picture shows at your iPhone's own full resolution, up to 120 Hz on ProMotion models.
Below is every step, the best settings for low delay, and fixes for the problems people hit most.
What you need
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC, 64-bit.
- An iPhone or iPad with Screen Mirroring. That is every recent iPhone and iPad; nothing extra goes on the phone.
- Kagami for Windows from the download page.
- Either the same Wi-Fi for phone and PC, or a USB cable (an original or MFi-certified one works best).
Step 1: install Kagami on the PC
- Download Kagami from the download page.
- Open KagamiSetup.exe.
- If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway, then Yes. This one-time warning is normal for new independent apps.
- Finish the setup. Kagami opens.
Step 2 (wireless): mirror over Wi-Fi
- Put the iPhone and the PC on the same Wi-Fi network. A 5 GHz or 6 GHz network gives the lowest delay; a wired Ethernet PC on the same router is even better.
- Open Kagami on the PC.
- On the iPhone, swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Centre.
- Tap Screen Mirroring, then tap Kagami 鏡.
- The first time, Kagami asks Allow / Don't Allow on the PC. Only allow your own devices.
Your iPhone screen now shows on the PC. On Wi-Fi, Kagami's measured delay is 0–40 ms, about 15 ms on average.
Step 2 (wired): mirror over a USB cable
- Plug the iPhone straight into the PC (not through a hub).
- Tap Trust This Computer on the iPhone if it asks, and enter your passcode.
- Open Screen Mirroring and tap Kagami 鏡.
A cable is not affected by Wi-Fi traffic, so it is the steadiest choice for long gaming or streaming sessions. It also shows your phone's battery in Kagami's FPS counter.
Wi-Fi or cable: which should you use?
- Cable: most stable, best for long sessions, competitive games and streams.
- Wi-Fi: no wires, easy to move around; very low delay on a good 5/6 GHz network.
Both give the same full-quality picture. If one gives you trouble, try the other.
Best settings for the lowest delay
On the iPhone:
- Low Power Mode off.
- The iPhone's own screen recording off while you mirror.
- VPN off.
- A Focus mode on, so notifications stay quiet.
- Settings → General → AirPlay & Continuity → Automatically AirPlay set to Never, so the phone doesn't jump to a TV.
On the PC:
- Battery saver off (on a laptop, plug in the charger).
- 5 GHz or 6 GHz Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
- VPN off.
In Kagami, Resolution: Screen Size and FPS: Device Max give the best picture. On an older PC or a busy network, 1920×1080 or 60 fps is lighter. These are chosen when the device connects, so disconnect and reconnect to change them.
Fixes for common problems
Kagami doesn't show up in Screen Mirroring. Make sure Kagami is open on the PC and both devices are on the same Wi-Fi (not a guest network). Turn off VPNs. On a cable, unplug and plug in again, then tap Trust.
The picture lags or stutters. Switch to a cable or a 5/6 GHz network, turn off the iPhone's own screen recording and Low Power Mode, then click Fix next to Kagami's live delay meter. Kagami also catches up on its own if the picture falls behind.
The picture is blurry. Check that Resolution is set to Screen Size in Kagami, then disconnect and reconnect.
No sound. In Kagami's recording settings, check the audio choice: phone + mic, phone only, mic only, or no sound.
What you can do once it is on screen
- Play from the big screen with very low delay.
- Record in one click, as MP4 or MOV, with game sound and your mic in sync. See how to record iPhone gameplay on PC.
- Stream with a full-quality OBS feed. See how to stream iPhone games with OBS.
- Save what just happened with instant replay (Zenn).
- Hide private moments with privacy mode, on one key.
FAQ
Is mirroring an iPhone to a Windows PC free? Yes. Kagami's Free plan has every feature except instant replay. A Kagami watermark shows on the live window and in OBS (never in your recording files), and recordings are up to 2 minutes. Zenn removes both limits with a one-time payment for a year that never renews by itself.
Do I need iTunes or any app on the iPhone? No. Kagami uses Screen Mirroring, which is already built into every iPhone and iPad.
Does it work with an iPad? Yes, the steps are the same.
Is it the same on a Mac? Yes. Kagami has the same features on Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 15 or later. On a Mac, turn off the built-in AirPlay Receiver first.
Can I use two computers? One account works on one computer: the first one you sign in on. You can move it to a new computer from your dashboard once every 30 days.
